Tamba is the son of the late Namba Roy, the official carver/storyteller of the Maroons of Accompong, Jamaica. The Maroons were the first people to escape slavery on the island. Tamba uses his rich heritage, educational expertise and therapeutic skills to further develop race equality in order to raise achievement within schools. His relaxed but focussed approach provides practical strategies as well as allowing a deeply reflective exploration of race issues.
