A training event that sensitively but powerfully explores race and community cohesion
related issues to further develop understanding, empathy and create a strategic
way forward.
Tamba explores issues of race and 'Community Cohesion' through his father's
carvings and paintings, as well as his own personal and professional experiences in schools.
Areas of focus can include:
A Perspective on Race- A historical view of race and the impact this has on all areas of our work.
Communication and Race – How race related issues can impact upon how we think and feel.
Self Awareness and Race – How self belief and internal dialogue can impact upon the achievement of pupils.
Powerful Goals – Creating a consistent approach that will impact upon curriculum delivery
Key aims of the events will be for staff to further develop an empathetic understanding of race issues and their impact in our schools, and to identify a way forward that supports the school's work on community cohesion.

This staff meeting can also be booked in conjunction with the
